If I’m bringing a claim for personal injuries, will the insurance company look at my social media?

Hi, I’m Erik Snyder from Snyder Law Group. A lot of times when we file personal injury claims on behalf of our clients, we’re asked about “Will the insurance company look at my social media? Will they be on my Facebook, my Instagram, my Snapchat?”

The answer is, “Yes, absolutely.”

They’ll be all over your Facebook looking for any type of evidence to try to discredit your claim for personal injuries.

Now, it doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll be able to use that evidence, but let it be known that the second they know you’re filing a personal injury claim, they will be looking for any evidence to use against you and try to attack your credibility.
